Summary: How minute is much in the hands of Christ

Matthew 14:16-21

In the Hands of Christ what might seem as minute to us in actually much. When Christ asks us to do something he will make away for us to accomplish it. When we are in the will of Christ he will bless us and provide for us beyond what we can imagine.

Here we see that the disciples wanted to send the great crowd of people away so that they could feed themselves but Christ had a better plan in store. He would use something as simple as a feeding to work a great miracle. We can have great miracles in our lives when we listen to Christ.

In verse 17 we see that things might seem impossible to the disciples. With only five loaves and two fishes how on earth could we feed the thousands?

In verse 18 Christ said “Bring them to me” The first step to seeing a miracle in our life is we have to bring what we have to Christ. It may not look like much or enough to us but in the hands of Christ all things are possible. What we have in life may not seem like much to us. Lord is can’t be your spokesman I am not a great orator, Lord I can’t be your helping hand I am not a doctor, Lord I cannot be a blessing to others I am not wealthy. Let me tell you dear friends Christ is in the business of making minute much. Christ tells us if we have faith as the grain of a mustard seed we can move mountains. God is a can do God all it takes is us being obedient.

In Verse 19 and he directed the people to sit down on the grass. The second part is that we have to be faithful in what Christ is asking us to do even if it is something as simple as sitting down on the grass. It may not make any sense to us but it makes perfect sense to God.

The third part is we have to look to heaven and give thanks for our blessing that is going to come our way. It is on its way and we must look to heaven and believe it to be so. When Christ blessed the food he did not doubt that there would be enough food he knew there were would be. We have to have faith that God will do what we asking in accordance to his will. When he asks us to do something we have to believe that he has the plans and we must be faithful to do what he asks. We may not understand it but he does not ask us to understand it. He didn’t say if you understand with the grain of a mustard seed, he said if you have faith as the grain of a mustard seed. We have to have faith in what God wants us to accomplish. It is then that we will see blessings of God overflow. Minute things in Christ are much.

When then things of life are weighting you down and you don’t know how you are going to make it through, Believe Christ for a miracle. Let go and let God take over. Christ can turn your situation into a loaves of many outcome.

How many times in your life are you like the disciples and see thing in a limited view. We only have five loaves and two fish it is impossible to feed so many people. How many times do you try to fit God in our small box? We see here today that not only did everyone become satisfied and full but there were 12 baskets left over. God wants to do a mighty work in your life today all you have to do is reach out and claim it. Claim the loaves and fishes promise in you life today. Claim that the minute is much. Claim that God will take the little that you have and make it a blessing full and overflowing let Christ work a miracle in your life today. Claim the promise.

Let’s go to the Lord in prayer.
