Mine, Mine, Mine
Contributed by Ervin Kimrey on Dec 27, 2008 (message contributor)
Summary: This sermon looks at the rebellion of some against the church, God’s man and God himself. Many times people claim athority that is not given to them by God, yet they try to take it anyway.
MINE, MINE, MINE Text: Numbers 16:1-35
Ill: Bill Cosby—Joke about kids fighting over a toy---“Mine, Mine, Mine” ---“I don’t care about justice, I Just Want Peace”
Unfortunately, that’s the attitude many churches have today,
They just want peace regardless the cost. (compromise)
Folks, When rebels raise their ugly heads their will be no peace until they are dealt with by God and God’s people.
SAUL’S REBELLION I Samuel 15: 22 – 23
1. Operated outside his anointing, He was a King not a Priest
2. Disobedience – incomplete obedience is disobedience
You can’t gain with sacrifice what you loose• through disobedience
3. Concerned more about his position than his rebellion
He didn’t want to loose face in front of his men. That meant more to him than his sin.
4. He forfeited the call because of rebellion
• God will not allow rebellion to remain He must remove it God’s anointed man David remains
MIRIAM AND AARON’S REBELLION Numbers 12: 1-14
1. They also operated outside their anointing – and made themselves Moses’ judge.

4. His presence is lifted, the rebellion is judged and ministry is halted
