2 Chronicles 7:14-16 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Don't be afraid

"This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid!"

1 John 4:18 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

Hebrews 13:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

2 Timothy 1:7 (New King James Version)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

This dying world corrupted by it's god, is soon to end, and it can only offer it's subjects/slaves fear, but our GOD is generous, GOD can offer us power, love and sound mind to replace negative spirit of fear. So arise up and be on GOD's side. Throw away fear and anything that can remind you of fear.

B. Don't be discouraged by their numbers

"Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army"

Joshua 8:1 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take all your fighting men and attack Ai, for I have given you the king of Ai, his people, his town, and his land.

Isaiah 42:4 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.”

The word "mighty" came from the Greek word meaning noise, tumult, crowd, many, abundance, company. The enemy might be many, multitude and crowded but GOD is Greater so who can be against us if GOD is for us.

1 John 4:4 (New King James Version)

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

GOD is "meizon" meaning Greater, Larger, Elder and More than our enemies or problems so don't be afraid if GOD is on our side, we are the Majority.

C. The battle is not ours, but GOD's

"for the battle is not yours, but God’s."

Compare these verses:

A battle where the LORD owns and the LORD fights because GOD is King of kings. - A WINNING BATTLE (1 Samuel 17:47)

1 Samuel 17:47 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!”

A battle where a man (King Saul) is king, the king which is human being judges and leads them into battle. - A LOSING BATTLE. (1 Samuel 8:20)

1 Samuel 8:20 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“We want to be like the nations around us. Our king will judge us and lead us into battle.”

We are the Spiritual Goliaths of the New Covenants

We have the full armor of GOD.

Ephesians 6:10-18 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
