Summary: In this sermon, we'll explore few biblical examples that demonstrate how men's rejection can be God's protection.
Have you ever experienced rejection in a relationship or a situation that left you feeling broken and confused? It's natural to question God's plan and wonder why He allowed the rejection to happen. However, the Bible teaches us that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). In this sermon, we'll explore few biblical examples that demonstrate how men's rejection can be God's protection.
1. Joseph and His Brothers (Genesis 37:18-36)
Joseph's brothers rejected and sold him into slavery, but God used this rejection to protect Joseph from famine and elevate him to a position of power in Egypt. Through Joseph's story, we see that God can take what was meant for harm and turn it into good (Genesis 50:20).
2. David and Saul (1 Samuel 18:6-11, 24:1-15)
King Saul rejected David, attempting to kill him multiple times. However, God protected David and ultimately made him king of Israel. David's story teaches us that God's protection and promotion often come through unexpected circumstances.
3. Jesus and the Pharisees (Matthew 12:14, 26:3-5)
The Pharisees rejected Jesus, plotting to kill Him. However, God used their rejection to fulfill His plan of salvation through Jesus' death and resurrection. Jesus' story shows us that God's protection and plan can be accomplished even in the midst of rejection and opposition.
4. Paul and the Jews (Acts 13:42-51, 18:5-6)
The Jews rejected Paul's message, forcing him to turn to the Gentiles. However, God used this rejection to expand the gospel message to the entire world. Paul's story illustrates that God's protection and direction can lead us to new opportunities and a broader impact.
5. Esther and Haman (Esther 2:1-4, 7:1-10)
Haman rejected Esther, plotting to destroy her and the Jewish people. However, God protected Esther and used her to save the Jews from destruction. Esther's story demonstrates that God's protection can come through unexpected means and that He can use us to accomplish great things despite rejection.
Conclusion
Men's rejection can be a painful and confusing experience, but the Bible teaches us that it can also be God's protection. Through the examples, we see that God can use rejection to:
Protect us from harm
Elevate us to new positions
Fulfill His plan and purpose
Expand our impact and influence
Use us to accomplish great things
Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Trust that He is working everything out for your good, even in the midst of rejection (Romans 8:28).
