Summary: Troubles normally don’t come alone but avalanches of them come and throttle us; Moses and Aaron were facing one such situation.

Meet God who will meet your needs!

Numbers 20:6”So Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and they fell on their faces. And the glory of the LORD appeared to them.”

Troubles normally don’t come alone but avalanches of them come and throttle us; Moses and Aaron were facing one such situation. They had just lost their sister Miriam and instead of comforting their leaders, here the people of God throw tantrums over lack of water. These folks had watched God bring water from the rock then why do they not trust that God would do it again? I am speaking to someone out there! Why not think of past miracles and His glory in your life and believe that He would not let you down? We quickly forget the past and start cursing the future, just take a close look at the words of the Israelites who had watched the Red Sea divide, Jordan river roll back, manna fall from heaven and what not! I have quoted a few of their words below which we find in the same chapter:

- If only we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!

- we and our animals should die here?

Atrocious words! Do your observe the word ‘die’ being repeated often? Yes, people are quick to utter downbeat and pessimistic words like ‘divorce, death, suicide, failure and so on.’ When disciples terrified by the storm and wind cried out, “Lord, we are dying…”, Jesus chided His disciples: "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" (Mathew 8:26) Jesus says the same today to those who have lost focus on God and His Power! This is called an evil and unbelieving heart; read Hebrews 3:12” Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.”

Just believe!

Next thing, I want to point out is that, when you are facing a mammoth problem, we got to leave the crowd and get into His presence. You know what, people are ready to throw cold water on our faith. Several years back, when I was trusting God for a miracle during the time I was ill and the doctors had given up all hope in saving my kid and also raised an alarm for my life, people would call me and ask a full medical report. I refused to divulge my physical medical condition but instead would reply, ‘ I am trusting God would do the impossible.’ God did work out a miracle. Click ‘My Testimony’ for further details of my miraculous healing. At another stage during our ministry, we faced a terrible situation when we had just a day to shift our house; the owner of the premises had sent thugs to warn us. During that period I refused to attend calls but as a family we kept trusting God for a miracle. I may not be able to narrate the entire episode but on Sunday morning we went to church and we had to shift the place that evening; during the worship, the Pastor prophetically uttered, “God is on your side as He was with Joshua when he faced the Jericho wall”, we returned home praising the Lord. At 11 am, we received a call from a house owner and received the keys to the new house at 1 pm and moved into our new rented house at 3 pm. Glory to Him! I still shudder as I narrate that incident! He would never, ever let you down! Leave the assembly of people and get in front of His Tabernacle like Moses and Aaron!

Psalm 121:2-Your help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.”

Don’t talk about death and divorce, talk about life and His power. Walk into His Arms!
