Tragedy strikes - These are very sad, tragic and horrific times in which we live! Mayhem has broken out in many parts of the world, but especially in the USA. So called peaceful protests are often anything but peaceful. Mob violence, destruction of property, looting, bodily injuries and killing frequently occur. The cry is for justice, freedom and equality. The results are anything but . . . In the wake of such mob outbursts we are left with extreme injustice, limited freedom and gross inequality for the victims of such violent lawless activity.

Periods of isolation lead to restless frustration - Many have been confined, restricted and isolated due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The LORD showed me in February of 2020 as the COVID-19 PANDEMIC was just beginning that MAYHEM would follow.

What is Mayhem - Mayhem is needless or willful damage or violence. Mayhem is a rowdy disturbance, a situation in which there is little or no order or control--chaos.

What is the meaning of all this - In John 10:10 we are told that the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. Whenever you see stealing, killing and destruction it is evident that the thief (Satan) is at work. But Jesus Christ, the prince of peace, comes to give life.

What is the antidote to mayhem - Through Christ you can experience peace in the midst of mayhem. Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. . . . Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:7,9) You can either be a peacemaker and show mercy, or you can be a trouble maker and cause mayhem. Which one are you? Dr. Lewis Gregory 5/31/20
