Summary: Spiritual growth is very important for believers

In your thinking be mature

1 Corinthians 14:20 “Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; yet in evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.”

Spiritual growth is very important for believers, it is not all over the day you accept Jesus into your life or that you were born to Christian parents, each one of us have the onus to study and grow. Are you listening? Reading the Bible, learning to read the Bible in order, understanding the Bible and also attending Bible study, if your church does have one, is of paramount importance for Christian growth, if not you are a stunted Christian, sadly we have many such stunted Christians today.

Well, we should be aware of this ‘Corona virus crisis’ and the reason behind it as a christian, answers are already there in the Bible regarding the present chaos that the world is facing and all the confusion around the world, in one word if I have to put it – DISOBEDIENCE. The Lord said:

2 Corinthians 5:10”For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

Romans 2:9”There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek.”

People who do not read the Bible blame God but everything is written in black and white, so where is the confusion, countries and people who reject God and believers who live a disobedient life will be punished. Period. Where do you expect people who: do not go to church, who drink, take drugs, wicked and into adultery, to go after death? Obviously hell. That’s exactly what the above scripture talks about: mature thinking. But if they confess their sins, repent and accept Jesus into their life then everything is wiped away by His precious blood.

Having a pure mind is very important for mature thinking, Apostle Paul said: Romans 8:6”For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,” Once we put the things of the flesh to death and renew our mind everyday then we will look at things in a different perspective. Finally you are set free “ For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" (Romans 8:14)God bless you!
