Summary: Are we ready?
Christ said the kingdom of heaven is like 10 virgins and a bridegroom (v 1)
5 were foolish, 5 were wise. (v 2-4)
When the bridegroom was delayed, they fell asleep. (v 5) Are we awake?
The midnight shout: "Behold, the Bridegroom! Come out to meet Him." (v 6)
The foolish virgins needed oil, the wise ones didn't. (v 7-9) Are we ready?
Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast." (v 10)
Lord, Lord, open us for us. (v 11)
Christ's rejection: "Truly I say to you, I do not know (oida) you." (v 12)
Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour (v 13)
Are we foolish or wise?
Are we asleep or awake?
Are we ready for the 2nd coming?
Did we get the wedding invitation?
Did we RSVP?
