INTRODUCTION:

The journey of life is filled with obstacles, oppositions, and unexpected roadblocks. However, when a believer walks with God, they carry more than human strength—they march forward with divine backing. The Israelites at the Red Sea faced a great barrier, but the command from God was, "Go forward!" This reveals God's heart for our progress, even when the way seems blocked.

Marching forward means refusing to retreat, staying focused on destiny, and pressing on even when fear whispers otherwise. Divine backing means God goes before, beside, and behind you to ensure your success. The Christian life is not a lonely struggle—it is a journey of faith with the omnipotent God walking with you.

This teaching will show how to recognise God’s presence, depend on His power, and move forward with courage. You are not alone, and the One backing you up guarantees your victory.

1. GOD’S PRESENCE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Even when the way seems blocked, God's presence assures progress and victory.

a) God walks with His children

He promised never to leave or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

b) His presence drives away fear

When God is with you, you have nothing to fear (Isaiah 41:10).

c) Divine presence brings supernatural favour

Joseph prospered because God was with him (Genesis 39:2).

d) God’s presence causes obstacles to melt like wax

The mountains skipped before the presence of the Lord (Psalm 114:7).

Biblical Example: Moses at the Red Sea

The presence of God parted the sea when Moses obeyed His command (Exodus 14:21–22).

2. DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS LEAD TO SUPERNATURAL BREAKTHROUGH

Obedience to God’s instruction unlocks the power to move forward.

a) God never leads His children to fail

He always makes a way where there seems to be none (Isaiah 43:19).

b) His instructions must be obeyed without question

Abraham obeyed not knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8).

c) Miracles follow divine instructions

Jesus turned water into wine because the servants obeyed His word (John 2:5–9).

d) Stagnation ends when divine direction is followed

The man at the pool of Bethesda rose when Jesus told him to (John 5:8–9).

Biblical Example: Naaman’s Healing

Naaman dipped in the Jordan seven times as instructed and was healed (2 Kings 5:10–14).

3. FEAR MUST BE CONQUERED TO MOVE FORWARD

Fear cripples progress, but faith propels you into your destiny.

a) Fear is a spirit that must be resisted

God has not given us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

b) Courage is required to fulfil destiny

God told Joshua to be strong and very courageous (Joshua 1:9).

c) Fear paralyses faith

Peter sank when he took his eyes off Jesus (Matthew 14:30).

d) Victory belongs to the fearless in Christ

The righteous are as bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1).

Biblical Example: David vs. Goliath

David conquered fear and stepped forward with God’s backing (1 Samuel 17:45-50).

4. YOU HAVE ANGELIC AND HEAVENLY SUPPORT

You are never alone; God has assigned heavenly assistance to go with you.

a) Angels are sent to help believers

They are ministering spirits for the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14).

b) The Lord of Hosts fights for you

The battle is the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15).

c) Heaven is committed to your journey

He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

d) You are divinely defended and covered

He gives His angels charge over you (Psalm 91:11).

Biblical Example: Elisha and the Host of Heaven

Those that were with him were more than the enemy (2 Kings 6:16-17).

5. YOU MUST KEEP MOVING IN FAITH

Your journey continues until you arrive at destiny—faith must remain alive.

a) Forward is the only direction for the believer

The path of the just shines brighter (Proverbs 4:18).

b) Standing still leads to defeat

You must press toward the mark (Philippians 3:13-14).

c) God rewards continuous faith

He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

d) Movement provokes manifestation

As they went, they were healed (Luke 17:14).

Biblical Example: The Four Lepers at the Gate

They moved in faith and found abundance (2 Kings 7:3-8).

CONCLUSION:

God is calling His children to march forward in confidence, not in their own strength, but in the assurance of His divine backing. The road may seem impossible, but the God who makes a way in the sea is the One leading you. His presence, power, instructions, and angels are with you every step of the way.

When you walk with God, even closed doors, Red Seas, and Goliaths must bow. Step forward with faith and courage. The backing of heaven guarantees your advancement. Refuse to turn back—you are going forward by divine force!
