But I also believe that the Second reason God shared Jesus with us...

Was with the purpose of duplication thru... Discipleship.

You see March is not only about Jesus...

Slide #7 March is also about the 12

Mark 3:13-14

“13 Now Jesus went up the mountain and called for those he wanted, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve (whom he named apostles), so that they would be with him and he could send them to preach”

Jesus came to this earth with a two-fold purpose.

Save Man from his sin...and teach others how to share His message.

When Jesus began to minister on this earth...

The first thing He did was chose 12 men who would...

Walk with Him...

Talk with Him...

Fellowship with Him....just as Adam and Eve had done with His Father in the Garden.

How sweet would it have been to have been trained by Jesus Himself?

He was the greatest teacher ever known by mankind.

He taught the 12 about the importance of them sharing with others about His Fathers love for people.

He taught them that is much better to give than receive...

He taught them that through their sacrifice...God’s love would be duplicated.

Being a disciple of Jesus is not an easy road to travel down.

He told the 12 that there would be days that things would not go their way.

-That there would be days that they would be tempted to throw in the towel and quit.

-That there would be days that their hearts would be broken because of man actions.

-That there would be days that the only person they could count on would be their heavenly Father.

You see...Jesus knew that to be a true disciple...the 12 would have to learn and share the importance of...

-Personal prayer time with God...

-Leading by example...

-Revealing a Personal Testimony

-Of not quitting when asked to leave all behind and follow

These 12 men got to physically see Jesus invest in the very people’s lives that...very soon would take part in His crucifixion.

And knowing this very fact...Jesus had to overstate the importance of them not taking personal how the world views Christianity.

God original plan was to create the earth and mankind.

Send Jesus to save mankind from his sin.

Have Jesus teach the importance of duplication to the 12 disciples.

And then the 12 were left with the responsibility to teach discipleship to us!

So when a person really does break down what being a Christian really means...

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

God’s plan comes into motion today.

The existence of Christianity is left at each of our door...

I believe that every person who asks Jesus into their life are asked and required to continue the work of Jesus until His return.

Because Jesus shared with the 12 the importance of them continuing the message...the church as we know it came into existence.

There are many churches throughout the world.

And I believe all these churches fall into one of two of these categories.

-The consumer church

-The missional church.

It is very sad to me that the church today is looked upon by the world as a dispenser of goods and services.
