MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS

"...to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God." Acts 1:3 (NKJV)

The resurrection of our Lord Jesus is one of the best substantiated facts of human history...indeed by "many infallible proofs". The best place to get the true facts of His resurrection is from the Word of God.

I. The proof of the angelic testimony:

"And the angel said unto the women, Fear not: for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." Matthew 28:5-6

II. The testimony of the two disciples from Emmaus:

"And after that, He appeared in a different form to two of them, while they were walking along on their way to the country. And they went away and reported it to the others, but they did not believe them either." Mark 16:12-13 (NASB) Synoptic account Luke 24:13-35.

III. The proof of the Lord’s own testimony:

"And while they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst, and He said to them, Peace be to you. But they were startled and frightened and thought that they were seeing a spirit. And He said to them: Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." Luke 24:36-39 (NASB)

IV. The proof of the consistent testimony of all who had seen Him following His resurrection:

"But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, but put to death the Prince of life, the One whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses." Acts 3:14-15 (NASB)

V. The witness of multitudes who have suffered persecution and death rather than deny the living Lord of life:

Man may, on occasion, give his material possessions for that which he has doubts ...but man will never give his life except for that which he believes!
