MANDATED PROCLAMATION

INTRODUCTION: THIS STUDY ADDRESSES CHRIST’S PRIMARY MISSION FOR HIS DISCIPLES.

INTERPRETATION: JOHN 20: 21 (NKJV) SO JESUS SAID TO THEM AGAIN, PEACE TO YOU! AS THE FATHER HAS SENT ME, I ALSO SEND YOU.

JESUS CHRIST, THE PRINCE OF PEACE, CAN GIVE PERFECT PEACE ONLY TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND ACCEPT HIM. HIS PEACE IS EVERLASTING PEACE.

JESUS ENTRUSTED HIS DISCIPLES THE TASK OF TAKING HIS MESSAGE TO ALL NATIONS. EQUIPPED BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT, THEY WOULD BE HIS REPRESENTATIVE IN THE WORLD. THIS AWESOME DIRECTIVE WAS A GREAT RESPONSIBILITY. PEOPLE WOULD EITHER BELIEVE THE GOSPEL AND BE FORGIVEN THEIR SINS OR REJECT THE SAME AND SUFFER ETERNAL JUDGMENT.

JESUS WAS THE GREATEST MISSIONARY EARTH EVER KNEW. HE FULFILLED HIS MINISTRY ON EARTH WITH A STAINLESS LIFE AND SACRIFICIAL DEATH. HE WAS THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD, SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. HIS AUTHORITY WAS EARNED ON CALVARY.

CHRIST HAS COMMISSIONED THE DISCIPLES TO CARRY ON HIS WORK, NOT TO START A NEW WORK. THIS SPEAKS TO GLOBALIZING THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. THIS SPEAKS TO EVERY BELIEVER INDIVIDUALLY AND CORPORATELY TO EVERY CHURCH.

APPLICATION: THE DISCIPLES DIRECTIVE WAS CLEAR AND FOCUSED. THEY WERE SENT OUT TO PREACH THE GOSPEL, WHICH HEALS, DELIVERS AND SETS MEN FREE!
