But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

A. Does not accept things from the SPIRIT of GOD
"But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God"
Ephesians 4:18 (Amplified Bible)
Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].
The problem is blindness of the mind that's why they can't receive. There's no problem with the Giver, He is Perfect, GOD is the Giver of all things
James 1:17 (Amplified Bible)
Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
2 Corinthians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)
For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
There's no problem with the Gift, the GIFT is the LORD JESUS CHRIST, Perfect GIFT.
Romans 6:23 (New International Version)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 (Amplified Bible)
For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
The problem is with the receiver. They never appreciated or thanked GOD for ALL HIS WORTH! He's POWERFUL GOD, GIVER OF GIFTS
Romans 1:21 (Amplified Bible)
Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.
B. Things from the SPIRIT of GOD are foolishness to him
"for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him"
1 Corinthians 1:18 (Amplified Bible)
For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God.
Psalms 14:1 (Amplified Bible)
To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. THE [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable deeds; there is none that does good or right.
Remember the fool, fool is defined in any secular dictionary as "stupid", well they have not defined it either, just given synonym, but the real definition of a Fool is "anyone that says in his heart, "there's no god!"
If you think you're that good and looking into your self is the source of all solutions, think again, may be you think you're god?! One GOD only and that's in Heaven. You're trying to logicalize everything that won't work, to understand all things all we need is faith.
Hebrews 11:6 (Amplified Bible)
But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].
C. He can't understand spiritual things.
"and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] "
1 Corinthians 1:23 (Amplified Bible)
