Summary: Keys to maintaining spiritual sanity
MAINTAINING SPIRITUAL SANITY
OBSERVATION: SPIRITUAL SANITY IS A WORK IN PROGRESS REQUIRING DAILY MAINTENANCE.
INTERPRETATION: PROVERBS 12: 5 (NKJV) THE THOUGHTS OF THE RIGHTEOUS ARE RIGHT, BUT THE COUNSELS OF THE WICKED ARE DECEITFUL. PROVERBS 12:5 (THE BOOK) THE PLANS OF THE GODLY ARE JUST; THE ADVICE OF THE WICKED IS TREACHEROUS.
THE WORD OF GOD FORMS THE THOUGHTS OF A RIGHTEOUS BELIEVER. THE WORD WILL DISCERN HIS HEART, THOUGHTS AND INTENTS.
PSALMS 119: 15 (NKJV) I WILL MEDITATE ON YOUR PRECEPTS, AND CONTEMPLATE YOUR WAYS.
GODLY MEDITATION MEANS YOU THINK UPON, CONTEMPLATE UPON THE WORD WITH THE INTENT OF GAINING GODLY WISDOM.
PROVERBS 11: 23 (NKJV) THE DESIRE OF THE RIGHTEOUS IS ONLY GOOD, BUT THE EXPECTATION OF THE WICKED IS WRATH.
THE RIGHTEOUS MAN WANTS ONLY THINGS THAT PLEASE THE LORD.
APPLICATION: PURITAN AUTHOR JOHN TRAPP STATES, “EVERY MAN IS WITH GOD AS HE DESIRES TO BE.”
