Summary: It is finished – This is the victorious shout of our Lord Jesus Christ. Declaring His victory and our victory.

MAINTAINING OUR VICTORY:

1. STAND FIRM.

• Maintain, preserve, hold, hang on, keep it up, resist, withstand.

• The word stand is translated from the greek word HISTEMI and in this context it means to continue, endure or persist.

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

2. LET NOTHING MOVE YOU.

• To stand firm is to firmly fixed and not subject to change, to be firm in belief and determination, and to be loyal and faithful. Likewise, to be immovable is to be unyielding and incapable of being moved or diverted.

• Let nothing move you

o Incapable of being moved, not intended to be moved, steadfast, unyielding.

• We have so many sufferings and tribulations.

• Problems of many kinds.

• Physical, emotional, material and even financial attacks.

• Let nothing move you.

1 Peter 5:7-10

7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

8Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

3. ALWAYS GIVE YOURSELVES FULLY TO THE WORK OF THE LORD.

• The work of the Lord refers to what believers do to advance the Gospel of Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

• The Great Commission is a part of our victory in Christ.

• This is our ministry.

• The Word of God says that we must “always” give ourselves fully to the Lords’ work.

• Giving our single life a purpose and a mission to do.

• …because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

• A fulfilled and victorious life is a life that is purposely committed to do the tasks God has given or commanded for him or her to do.
