Text: John 9:5 John 8:12

Introduction: Notice what the scriptures says to us, as Christians. “Ye are the light of the World…” Then we find also that Jesus said, “I am the light of the World…” Now is Jesus the light of the world or are we the light of the World?

Let’s look in the book of Genesis and consider this thought. (Genesis 1:14-16) Notice here God had two lights to light the World. One to light the day – The Sun and one to light the night – The Moon. The Sun generates the light for the World while the Moon merely reflects the Suns light just as the Christian ought to reflect the light of Christ.

Now notice this: Every so often there is an occurrence that scientist refer to as a lunar eclipse. When this happens the Moon is totally dark and reflects no light. This happens when the world comes between the Sun and the Moon. Have you experienced a Spiritual Eclipse where the World had come between the SON of God and the Christian?
