Summary: Keep doing what God has told you to do again and again and again, day after day and don’t get weary and tired, don’t be impulsive and impatient, trust Him and keep walking loyally and faithfully doing your duty with integrity.

Loyalty of action!

Luke 1:11”Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.”

Billy Graham said “We need to experience a revival of Christian loyalty in our hearts. It is a loyalty of action not of mere words; it is a loyalty that will enable us, regardless of the cost, to take our stand for Christ, for His Word, For His Gospel. In a supreme demonstration of loyalty to God’s will, Jesus died at Golgotha.”

Loyalty has lost its meaning today! No more do we see loyal people! People have started compromising and conveniently living according to the times. How would we react if our job calls for us to miss our Sunday service? Since now we are living in a world where time waits for none, we give in to fear and start being loyal to people rather than God. I was counseling a girl who was leaving Chennai to be in New Delhi for her studies, I advised her to attend some good fellowship on Sundays, but she bluntly refused saying that there are no churches in that area where she was staying and that she would pray from her room. She came to see me after six months absolutely distraught, broken with death in her family and other calamities in her home. This is what would happen to a family who ignore the church! Remember folks, we need spiritual food, corporate worship and the gathering of believers once in a week. It is here that we should exhibit our passion for God and stay loyal to the teachings of the Bible. Please mark it, God is able to do great things for people who would stay loyal to Him!

Zacharias the Priest and Elizabeth his wife had all the reasons to be disappointed, discouraged, stressed-out, worn-out and lonely; having walked with the Lord blamelessly, followed all His commandments and also served Him loyally as a Priest day in and day out until old age, they were childless. Imagine! They had nothing to dance about or throw a party; yet, we see the loyalty of Zacharias in serving the Lord with commitment. Never ever think that your efforts, your works, your commitment, your hard work and integrity goes unnoticed – the Almighty God watches over you! While on duty, angel Gabriel visited Zacharias and said, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.” Give God a shout of praise will you? Keep doing what God has told you to do again and again and again, day after day and don’t get weary and tired, don’t be impulsive and impatient, trust Him and keep walking loyally and faithfully doing your duty with integrity. Are you listening?

Today, there is so much of hype about excitement, entertainment and fun that we have forgotten what it is to be loyal and committed despite pain and boredom!!!!! Stick on! Press on! Stop avariciously looking for promotions, appraisal, new territory, new job, new country, new boss and new partner – be loyal and sincerely in what you are doing now; rewards would follow. Period.

Someone said: ”Winning a race is all about practice as you need to be able to do the same thing over multiple laps, trying to do it faster every time.” I will apply this to spiritual exercise which is the key to all our blessings, keep reading the Bible, fasting and praying over and over again keep scaling upward. Rewards would follow!
