This sermon encourages embodying and practicing the selfless, enduring love described in 1 Corinthians 13 within our families and communities.
Good morning, dear family of God. It is indeed a joy and a privilege to stand before you today, in the house of our Lord, to share His word. We gather here as a family bound together by the love of Christ. And today, we are going to focus on that very love, the love that binds us, the love that strengthens us, and the love that defines us as a family.
It's a love that's not just about warm feelings or sentimental expressions. It's a love that's patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud. It's a love that does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. It's a love that does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It's here that we learn to not dishonor others, to not be self-seeking, to not be easily angered, to keep no record of wrongs. It's here that we learn to not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth. It's here that we learn to always protect, always trust, always hope, always persevere.
This love, this divine love, is not something we can cultivate on our own. It's a gift from God, a fruit of the Spirit. And as we allow the Spirit to work within us, as we allow the Spirit to transform our hearts and our homes, we begin to experience the power of this love. We begin to see the strength it brings, the unity it fosters, the joy it spreads.
As we turn our attention to the words of Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, we find a blueprint for love that is transformative ... View this full PRO sermon free with PRO
