Contributed by Wade Martin Hughes, Sr on Dec 6, 2025 (message contributor)
Summary: God proves his love to humanity by GIVING THE BEST THING IN HEAVEN. Something is wrong when people say they love but they are unkind and disrespectful. For God so loved HE GAVE!
LOVE LOVES TO GIVE.

Years ago I heard PAUL BRANNON a lifelong missionary: WHERE THERE IS LOVE GIVING IS NEVER A SACRIFICE. I heard Lloyd Arnold say: IN ALL MY LOVE GIVING I HAVE NEVER MISSED IT OR REGRETTED IT.
GOD’S DEFINING CHARACTER IS ACTIVE LOVE.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
GOD’S LOVE IS ACTION --- AGAPE LOVE.
There are 3 kinds of love: 1. EROS: Sensual Love --- 5 senses. 2. PHILEO LOVE: brotherly love. 3. AGAPE LOVE
( never ending, unconditional. )
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
LOVE LOVES TO GIVE.
A CHILD IN LOVE VALUES DANDELIONS. THE RECEIVE VALUES THE DANDELION NOT BECAUSE OF THE VALUE OF THE DANDELION. REAL LOVE VALUES THE HANDS THAT GIVE. One will never know love’s face value until they give and receive love.
My first love was my MOM. For Mother’s Day, I worked for a few dollars and we went to Western Auto. They had three little handkerchiefs and a little pearl necklace in a fancy box. I knew I loved my Mom and I wanted to give her a token of my love. The fancy little box was more than I had. I told the lady how much I loved my Mom. I really needed this. The Western Auto lady was kind to me. She marked down the price and she gave me money to pay the taxes. I LOVED MY MOM AND I SO DESIRED TO GIVE HER A TOKEN OF MY LOVE. I LEARNED LOVE LOVES TO GIVE
When I was in the 3rd grade I fell love with a girl on the school bus. She was a senior. She was one of the first students that got on the bus. She always saved me a seat next to her. She would be so kind to me. She would put her arm around me. She talked so nice. She made me feel like a king. In the morning and evening she saved me a seat. I loved her. One Saturday I worked and earned a dollar. At the local store restaurant I had my dollar turned into 20 nickels. There were two big bubble gum machines. One of the machines had bubble gum balls and rings in the glass bulb. I loved the girl and I wanted to give her a ring. I put a nickel in and turned the knob. All that came out was a gum ball. I started chewing the gum ball. Another nickel? Another gum ball. I started chewing it. Soon my mouth was so full of gum balls. I saw I was going to run out of nickesl or lock my jaw? I started praying. God you know I love this girl and she deserves a pretty ring. Finally a ring came out. I was so happy. My prize was a ring to give to my senior love. Monday morning I excitedly waited for the bus. I jump on and ran to the back of the bus and I slid my “LOVE RING” up over her knuckle. She was so happy. She wore it several days. Finally the ring made a blue circle on her finger. I understood something about love: LOVE LOVES TO GIVE.
My junior year in high school I feel in love with Linda. I borrowed a black onyx ring from Butch. The ring had the little diamond and it had a hole where the diamond was lost. Linda wore the ring with angora threaded around it. Later that year we went to Kay’s and looked at rings. The one’s I wanted were several thousand dollars. My bus boy budget couldn’t afford them. Finally we found the cheapest one possible. We layed it away and finally we payed for the “DIAMOND DUST RING” She proudly displayed the “DIAMOND DUST RING” at school. I loved her and I wanted the best I could afford. LOVE LOVES TO GIVE. 55 years later I love her more than ever. I love to give and help her.
LOVE LOVES TO GIVE. REAL LOVE WILL GIVE ITS BEST! GENEROUS LOVE!
Love has passion and is always generous. Love will make you feel better. Love makes life sweeter. Love gives energy. Love opens doors to motivation to be kind. A house filled with love promotes JOY and KINDNESS.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
