Summary: We must keep and eye on Heaven
“LOOK UP” CHRISTIAN “LOOK UP”
Luke 21: 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
As Christians need is take our eyes off material things and keep our eyes on Christ will come we need to watch and pray.
(1) Redeemed by the blood.
1st Peter 1: 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Bought with his precious blood.
Banded together in the body of Christ.
Brought nigh in the wonderful fellowship.
(2) Robed in Christ righteousness.
Romans 4: 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Luke 15: 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Imputed grace of a righteous God
Immutable ,unchangeable act of God.
Imparted when a sinner get saved.
(3)Rejoicing with the saints.
Philippians 3: 1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Rejoice in the presence of our Lord
Rejoice in his power as we work for him
Rejoice in his pardon as we are washed by him
(4)ready for the rapture of the bride.
Matthew 24: 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
We must be found faithful in his service
We must be fruitful in soul winning
All our sin are forgiven for ever.
(5) Rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ.
2nd Cor.5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Rev.22: 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Reward for your time spent for his glory
Reward for talents used in his service
Reward for tithes given for his cause
(6) Reign with Christ forever.
Rev.20: 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev.22: 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
We will rule here on earth a thousand years
Reckoning rule a score to settle with the devil
Redeemed regin in eternity in that New Jerusalem
(7) How to enjoy Heaven as Planed
John 3: 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
A must repentance and faith in Christ
You have a choice except are refuse
You will regret for ever
