LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE

Jude 1: 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

There are so many things we need to look at so we can know the right way to go.

1. Faith and feeling.

Faith is based on God’s word.

It is steadfast and dependable.

We are saved, sanctified and kept by faith.

Hebrews 10: 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

We are not saved by emotions.

Feeling is based on emotion emotions rise and fall.

Unpredictable and undependable.

2. Love and lust.

Love is selfless. Love is concerned about others.

Love is courteous,kind,and pure in motive. Love comes from God.

Lust is self seeking. Purpose is desire to satisfy itself.

Subject to judgments and punishment.

Titus 2: 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

3. Convictions and compromise.

If we have convictions we desire to please God.

We will put God first rather than man.

Acts 5: 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Compromise is pleasing people and denying God.

Compromisers deny God’s word in order not disagree with others.

4. Gabble and Gossip

Gabbing is harmless conversation .most time no harm are hurt

No destruction of any ones good name.

James 3: 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Gossip is malicious, resentment and jealousy.

Influence of people is hurt.

James 3: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

5. Concern and Conceit.

Concern cares for others

Reach out with compassion

Have unselfish motives

James 3: 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

A conceited person is proud and egotistic.

They act concerned but self desire seeps through.

6. Between Holiness and Humanity

Holiness is spiritual purity.

God likeness

Filled with the Holy spirit.

Sanctified and made Spiritual whole.

Humanity concerns our physical and mental infirmities.

They are subject to errors quick to judge.
