Summary: THIS STUDY ADDRESSES THE CURE FOR LONELINESS.
LONELY?
OBSERVATION: THE BOOK OF PSALMS IS A COLLECTION OF 150 POEMS WRITTEN BY VARIOUS AUTHORS THROUGHOUT ISRAEL’S HISTORY. DAVID WROTE HALF OF THE PSALMS. EVERY HUMAN EMOTION YOU COULD IMAGINE FINDS EXPRESSION IN PSALMS. THIS STUDY ADDRESSES LONELINESS.
INTERPRETATION: PSALMS 27:10 (NKJV) WHEN MY FATHER AND MY MOTHER FORSAKE ME THEN THE LORD WILL TAKE CARE OF ME.
POINTS TO PONDER:
WEBSTER DEFINES LONELY (LONELINESS) AS SADNESS BECAUSE OF BEING ALONE, ISOLATED.
THE RESTORATION OF RUINED JERUSALEM AND THE INGATHERING OF ISRAEL IS ASSURED. BY GOD’S HAND, HE WOULD CONQUER THE ENEMY. DAVID’S REWARD WOULD BE UNIFICATION AND FELLOWSHIP WITH THE LORD. WHETHER EXILED IN BABYLON OR OTHER COUNTRIES HIS PEOPLE (JEWS) WOULD RETURN REJOICING. SOME JEWS THOUGH GOD HAD FORSAKEN THEM: GOD SAID NO!
DAVID EXPRESSED HIS LONELINESS WHILE AWAITING AN ANSWER FROM GOD. HE WANTED TO EXPERIENCE GOD’S PRESENCE AND DIRECTION, A REALITY EVERY BELIEVER SHOULD EMBRACE.
DAVID EXPRESSED WAITING ON THE LORD, REMAINING STRONG AND COURAGEOUS IN PSALMS 27: 14. HIS POINT WAS IF THOSE AROUND HIM ABANDONED HIM, GOD WOULD NOT!
APPLICATION: BELIEVER, THE CURE FOR LONELINESS IS WAITING ON GOD TO INTERVENE. BE COURAGEOUS AND REMAIN STRONG UNTIL HE DOES!
