Living Victoriously In 2025
Contributed by Benjamin Utomo on Jan 4, 2025 (message contributor)
Summary: How can we remain strong, steadfast, and victorious in facing any situation this year?
b. The second reason why we need to learn to surrender is because worry is useless. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6:27 and 34 - "Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Therefore, when worry begins to haunt us, we bring our worries to God, the Sustainer of our lives.
c. Because the problems we face are not beyond our strength and God will help us when we are tempted. 1 Corinthians 10:13 – “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” Even if we are tempted or face difficulties, it will not exceed our strength. So we do not need to be afraid of facing challenges. When they come, we come to God who will help us. Remember we are not alone in facing challenges in our lives.
I like watching movies about the lives of people, groups of people, or nations who experience difficulties and challenges but they do not give up like the following story. … Watching stories like that encourages me to be stronger in the Lord because I have been redeemed by Christ and have an amazing God. I am not alone in facing difficulties.
Every difficulty has a way out. There is no problem bigger than our God. So, as we enter 2025, focus your heart and mind on God, not on the problems that might occur! Sadly, many people like to write their problems on the palms of their hands and then put their palms in front of their eyes. As a result, what they see every day is their problems making them frustrated and love themselves as if they were the most unfortunate. Let us start our day every day, throughout this year, by coming to God first.
Let's prioritize the Lord Jesus in our lives. Let us always watch and pray and surrender to God. Happy New Year 2025! Lord Jesus bless you all!
