Living in love

(1 Corinthians 12:1-14:25)

Just for a moment today. I would like for us to look at the text found in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 beginning with verse number 1 and concluding with chapter 14 verse number 25. In this passage of scripture we notice the following four things.

I. We all have a spiritual gift.

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

a. Some people have the spiritual gift of wisdom.

b. Some people have the spiritual gift of knowledge.

c. Some people have the spiritual gift of healing.

JUST TO NAME A FEW

II. We all are important to the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12-31

a. We should care for each other as children of God.

b. When one of us hurt we all shall comfort.

c. When one of us are honored we all shall rejoice.

III. We all should do things out of love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Tells us that:

a. Love is long lasting.

b. Love is kind.

c. Love never fails.

IV. We should speak in a manner that encourages verses discourages those around us.

1 Corinthians 14:1-25

a. We should talk to people to bring edification.

b. We should talk to people to bring exhortation.

c. We should talk to people to bring comfort.
