Youth Sermon: Living Called and Anointed

Figuring out where the real battle is

I want you to imagine you're playing a video game. You're battling monsters, dodging obstacles, and trying to reach the next level. But what if I told you that the real battle isn't on the screen, but inside the game console? That's where the real action happens, where the game is controlled.

Life is a lot like that. We face challenges and problems, but the real battle isn't what we see. It's a spiritual battle. The enemy wants us to think our problems are too big, but when we realize the real battle is spiritual, we can trust God to help us win.

The real battle isn't what we see. It's a spiritual battle.

Realizing that God wants to use us

Now, let's talk about David and Goliath. David was just a kid, a shepherd, not a warrior. But God used him to defeat a giant. Why? Because David knew the battle was God's, not his. He trusted God to deliver him.

We might feel like we're not enough, not strong enough, not smart enough, not good enough. But guess what? God wants to use us, just like He used David. He doesn't look at our abilities; He looks at our hearts. If we're willing, He can do amazing things through us.

Remembering that the battle is God's, not ours

Finally, we need to remember that the battle is God's. David faced Goliath with confidence because he knew God was with him. We might face tough stuff, but when we trust in God's power, we can overcome anything.

So, what does this mean for us? It means we need to recognize where the real battle is and trust God to fight for us. It means we need to realize that God wants to use us, no matter how unqualified we feel. And it means we need to remember that the battle is God's, not ours.
