Introduction:

Life is filled with uncertainty. We make plans, but circumstances shift. We set goals, but obstacles rise. Sight shows us impossibilities, but faith shows us God’s promises. That’s why Paul declares, “We walk by faith, not by sight.”

Faith is not blindness—it is seeing with spiritual eyes. Where sight sees the mountain, faith sees it moving. Where sight sees the Red Sea, faith sees a dry path through it. Where sight sees the giants, faith sees the promised land.

1. Faith is Trusting God Beyond What You See

Abraham was told to leave his home for a land he had never seen (Genesis 12:1). He had no map, no GPS—just a promise. Faith means stepping when the ground is not visible but trusting that God has already prepared the way.

2. Sight is Limited, but Faith is Unlimited

Sight only sees the present problem. Faith sees God’s eternal power. The Israelites saw Goliath and trembled. David saw Goliath and declared, “The Lord who delivered me from the lion and the bear will deliver me from this Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:37). Faith shifts focus from the size of the giant to the size of your God.

3. The Just Shall Live by Faith

This phrase appears four times in Scripture (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38). Why? Because faith is not a suggestion—it’s the lifestyle of God’s people. We are not sustained by what we see in the natural. We are sustained by trusting the invisible hand of God.

4. Living by Faith Produces Courage and Peace

When Peter walked on water, as long as his eyes were on Jesus, he walked by faith. When he shifted to sight—seeing the waves—he sank (Matthew 14:29-30). Faith calms the heart in storms, while sight magnifies fear.

5. Faith Pleases God

Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” God is not impressed by wealth, education, or titles—He is pleased by simple, radical trust in His Word. Faith is the currency of heaven, and those who live by it walk in God’s favor.

Conclusion:

Beloved, you are called to live not by what you see but by what God has spoken. Situations may look bleak, doors may appear shut, but faith says: “God is still working.”

The just shall live by faith every day, every decision, every battle. Don’t let sight limit you. Lift your eyes to the unseen promises of God.

Declaration/Prayer:

I choose to walk by faith and not by sight.

My faith is in God’s Word, not in my circumstances.

I declare that I am the just, and I will live by faith.

Mountains shall move, doors shall open, and victories shall manifest by faith in Jesus’ name.
