Remember Martha? When her brother Lazarus died, she was stuck in the past, wishing Jesus had come earlier. But Jesus was focused on the present, knowing He was about to do something amazing. God can do amazing things in our lives right now, even if it seems hopeless. Let's not rush through life without letting God guide us.
Sometimes, we know something's coming, but it's still a bit off. It gives us time to get ready. Like Moses and the Israelites, who were promised a land flowing with milk and honey but could only catch a glimpse. We may not know exactly what's coming, but God gives us sneak peeks of what's next. He puts people and situations in our lives to show us His plans. We gotta trust Him and let His light guide us step by step.
Remember, the Bible says, "Don't brag about tomorrow, since you don't know what the day will bring." We can't predict the future, but God's light shines enough for us to see a bit of it. Let's trust Him with our future and let His Word guide us.
When we use a GPS, we can also see the route we've taken. Similarly, the light of God's Word reminds us of our past and how far He's brought us. It's important to remember where we've come from, the good and the bad, to strengthen our faith and keep moving forward. Just like Stephen reminded the Israelites of their history, we should remember how God has worked in our lives. It helps us appreciate His faithfulness and encourages us to keep following Him.
