Summary: Prayer starts a fire of revival in our hearts.
LET,S START A FIRE
1st Kings 18:37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.
Acts 16:25And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
We need a fire of Revivals across the united states like never before.
1. Revival fire will open our hearts.
Acts 16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
It opens our heart to receive
It opens for a divine message from God.
It opens for power on high
2. It will make the Gospel effective
Acts 16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
The foolishness of preaching has brought out the power of God
The foolishness of preaching has gave men wisdom from his word
The foolishness of preaching has showed us the Grace of God
3. It will bring forth praise
Acts 16 :25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
They were in jail praising the Lord
Praise brings on conviction
Praise brings on power
Praise brings on blessing
4 . It will convict sin and sinners
The jailer called for light
The jailer was trembling
He fell to his knees
He ask what must I do to be saved
Paul was truly a servant of God
The jailer saw that a real God was there with them
1st John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Matt.6:6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Come on lets start a fire in this service that will spread all over our world
