Summary: This sermon is meant to help the Christian have a non-judgmental view of others both saved and unsaved.

Let God Do The Judging

Intro- We have a group in America called, "armchair quarterbacks." They never get too involved, they just sit back and judge those actually getting involved.

I. Judging Others Can Expose Obvious Hypocrisy

Matthew 7:1-5

Notice the comparison Jesus uses.

A plank, 2x4, and a speck, a splinter.

II. Judging Others Can Cause You To Be Arrogant

Romans 14:9-10

Paul states that Jesus is Lord because He died and arose from the grave, how dare we look down on another person, we need the grace of God as bad as they do.

III. Jesus’ Mission Was Not To Judge, But To Save

John 3:16-17, John 12:47-50

The church needs to continue Jesus’ mission of salvation, not judgement by doing these things.

*Preach the truth in love- Eph. 4:14-15

*Consider needs of others- Gal. 6:1-2

*Be accepting of people- Rom. 15:5-7

IV. Benefits Of Allowing God To Judge

*You Will Grow- Matthew 7:3-5

Get weed out of your life, you can grow

*Your Relationships With Others Will Grow

Become understanding of others through acknowledgement of your own shortcomings

*The Church Will Foster Growth

Church will be a place of acceptance and grace, not of condemnation and judgement
