A. INTRODUCTION: REVELATION 19:11-16

1. Six seals revealed judgment (6:1-17) then the seventh seal, “There was silence in Heaven” (8:1). This is Christ’s return.

2. Six trumpets announce judgment (8:2-9:2). “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become [the kingdoms] of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (11:15). This is Christ’s return.

3. Six bowls of judgment were poured out on the earth. “The seventh angel poured out his vile . . . and there came a great voice out of Heaven, from the throne, saying, ‘It is finished’” (16:17, NKJV).

This is Christ’s return.

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes [were] like a flame of fire, and on His head [were] many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He [was] clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now

out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on [His] robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” (Rev. 19:11-16).

B. THE NAMES OF CHRIST AT HIS RETURN

1. THE LAMB (19:7, 9). A reference to His sacrificial death. “Ye were . . . redeemed . . . with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb, without spot or blemish” (I Peter 1:18-19).

2. JESUS (19:10). A reference to His earthly name. “You shall call His name Jesus (Joshua Jehovah Saves) for He shall save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1:21).

3. FAITHFUL AND TRUE (19:11). A reference to the actions and nature of Christ.

4. A NAME . . . THAT NO MAN KNEW (v. 12).

a. His name among the Trinity

5. THE WORD OF GOD (v.13). A reference to John 1:1. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was (face to face) with God, and the Word was God.” Every thing you need to know about Christ is in the word LOGOS.

6. KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Jesus is both superior and rules all earthly kings and all earthly idols/powers.

If you have never really accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, would you do it right now? Do not delay or put it off. If you would like to receive Christ by faith, pray this simple prayer in your heart:

Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died for my sins on the cross, and rose again the third day. I repent of my sins. By faith I receive the Lord Jesus as my Savior. You promised to save me, and I believe You, because You are God and cannot lie. I believe right now that the Lord Jesus is my personal Savior, and that all my sins are forgiven through His precious blood. I thank You, dear Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
