Philippians 3:8 (Amplified Bible)
Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),

VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Consider everything a loss
"Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage)"
Mark 8:35 (Amplified Bible)
For whoever wants to save his [higher, spiritual, eternal] life, will lose it [the lower, natural, temporal life which is lived only on earth]; and whoever gives up his life [which is lived only on earth] for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it [his higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God].
Matthew 19:21 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus answered him, If you would be perfect [that is, have that spiritual maturity which accompanies self-sacrificing character], go and sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; and come, be My disciple [side with My party and follow Me].
Matthew 19:29 (Amplified Bible)
And anyone and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for My name’s sake will receive many [even a hundred] times more and will inherit eternal life.
Nothing can compare on this earth with CHRIST JESUS. It encompasses all things here on earth and even on Heaven. Apostle Paul is the one with this Holy Ambition not just typical christian, but as you can see if we can be compared to Apostle Paul we are nothing, but still the attitude of Apostle Paul is as if He does not know anything about CHRIST, that's the attitude we should be mastering in our earthly life as well. No wonder GOD rewarded and honored Apostle Paul greatly by giving him revelations after revelations making him wrote 70% of the New Testament.
B. Surpassing greatness of knowing CHRIST JESUS my LORD
"of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]"
Psalms 145:3 (Amplified Bible)
Great is the Lord and highly to be praised; and His greatness is [so vast and deep as to be] unsearchable.
Psalms 150:2 (Amplified Bible)
Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness!
Luke 9:43 (Amplified Bible)
And all were astounded at the evidence of God’s mighty power and His majesty and magnificence. But [while] they were all marveling at everything Jesus was doing, He said to His disciples,
It's GOD greatness that we desire not our greatness, He must increase and we must decrease. His Greatness in our lives, make us accomplish great things.
C. Gain CHRIST, all things are rubbish
"For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),"
Numbers 32:12 (Amplified Bible)
Except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they have wholly followed the Lord.
2 Chronicles 15:15 (Amplified Bible)
And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him [yearning for Him] with their whole desire, and He was found by them. And the Lord gave them rest and peace round about.
Psalms 119:69 (Amplified Bible)
The arrogant and godless have put together a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
Gaining CHRIST is the ultimate treasure possession we can have on this earth, in Heaven and in the New Heaven and New Earth.
IX. CONCLUSION:
To grow more in our knowledge our LORD and SAVIOR CHRIST JESUS.
1 Corinthians 15:8-9 (Amplified Bible)
And last of all He appeared to me also, as to one prematurely and born dead [no better than an unperfected fetus among living men].
