Topic : Kingdom Stewardship

Text : Exodus 23:25-26

Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.

Let's begin by knowing the two major words that make up our topic of study, Firstly, "Kingdom", it is a realm having a king as its actual sovereign. Secondly, Stewardship means the act of caring for or taking responsibility over the good of the kingdom. Then whose Kingdom are we referring to? It is the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ remains the King. Every Christian is called into this stewardship of God's kingdom.

From our scriptural text, God made it clear that for the Israelites to enjoy peace, security and all round prosperity, they Must serve or worship Him. Here points us to service, it is unfortunate that many want titles without serving. While a lot service their bellies and selfish interest. We must turn away from such. The greatest in God's kingdom is the servant of others.

God's blessings are tied to services and not titles. Discovering your place of service in God's kingdom is important. And remember that God's Grace is released upon us based on your place of service. If you switch places because you think nobody sees you in your area, you will work without grace in the other assignment you created for yourself. Remember Lucifer that switched his place of service and he got himself everlasting curses.

Matthew 6:33 Jesus Christ repeated himself and said, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well". As you can see that there are numerous blessings for serving in the kingdom. Are you looking for sickness and sorrow free life, long life, fruitfulness, prosperity, promotion and anointing? Then serve. Take the position of a steward and be a faithful servant and never a boss.

Finally, do not be among those people rendering service and their spirit is not yet born again. They just learnt skills about how to pray, sing and preach etc because the heavenly blessings are only for those faithful stewards whose life carry the life of Jesus Christ. Psalm 24:3-5, "Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. 5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior". Alleluia!
