VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. It's not a matter of eating and drinking

"For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink"

1. It's not a physical thing or physical event that we do or enjoy with our 5 senses.

Luke 17:20-21 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs.

You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.”

1 Corinthians 4:20 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

1 Corinthians 15:50 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.

A man might forget his own name but he can't forget to eat and drink that's why Kingdom of GOD is compared to something we humans needed to do, but it's not like that. It's GOD's Power existing among us and it's the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

B. It's righteousness

"but of living a life of goodness"

1. Right relationship with GOD, as guaranteed/testified by GOD and not by us because of the LORD JESUS CHRIST's Righteous Life.

Philippians 1:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

1 Timothy 6:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

Hebrews 11:7 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.

Romans 4:13 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith.

C. It's peace

"and peace"

Romans 8:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

Psalms 4:8 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

John 16:33 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

1. The world can only give fake peace, for example, the world will give you sleeping pills if you can't sleep but GOD gives sleep to His workers.

Psalms 4:8 (Amplified Bible)

In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

Genuine peace therefore as defined by Psalms 4:8 is safety dwelling and confident trust (irregardless of physical circumstances or situation you're in) for the Source is internal not external. You can't fake peace sooner or later it will fall apart.

D. It's joy in the HOLY SPIRIT

"and joy in the Holy Spirit"

1 Peter 1:8 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.

2 Corinthians 7:4 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

I have the highest confidence in you, and I take great pride in you. You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our troubles.
