Kinds Of Faith

Romans 12:3 - For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

I always thought that faith was just faith... I never realized how many different kinds of faith is mentioned in The Bible until I studied it out.

WHAT IS FAITH = Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Habakkuk 2:4 - Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by HIS faith.

When we gather together in the Church building, our faith can work together, we can move mountains, heal the sick, cast out demons... but when you go home after service is over you are living by YOUR faith... you cant take my faith home with you. What kind of faith do you have? The Bible tells us to examine ourselves, and see whether we be in the faith!!!

NO FAITH = Mark 4:40 - And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

WEAK FAITH= Romans 14:1 - Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

DEAD FAITH= James 2:17 - Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

GREAT FAITH = Luke 7:9 - When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

LITTLE FAITH

FEAR Matthew 8: - 23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. 24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. 26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye FEARFUL, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

REASON Matthew 16: - 7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. 8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why

REASON ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

DOUBT Matthew 14:31 - 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou DOUBT?

WORRY Luke 12: - 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

So, we see that in little faith, there is FEAR, REASON, DOUBT, and WORRY!!!! We must be overcomers and step out into a faith that just don't make no sense!! A CRAZY FAITH! Abraham believed God and it was accounted as righteousness unto him... Don't trust what you see, don't trust what they say, don't trust what it looks like!! Just trust what God said in His Word!!!

WHERE DO WE GET FAITH = Romans 10:17 - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The reason people are not seeing God's Word come to pass in their lives is because they aren't reading it like they supposed to. For each area of our lives, if we will read The Word there are verses that applies for everything... However, we cannot receive the POWER from that Word if we aren't putting it into us... we are told to write God's Word on the tables of our hearts... we need to instill The Word in us more now than ever!

The reason the church aint got no power is because they are to many Bibles layin around with dust on them! We need to HEAR the Word of God in order to have that crazy faith.
