Keeping An Eye Out

Neh 7:1-4

1. Always keep watch vs 1

The number one rule in boxing, Always keep your guard up

It doesn't matter if the walls are up, the enemy is still on the prowl

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then

Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro

in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou?

And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro

in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

1Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a

roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Eternal vigilance if the price of liberty

2. All should keep watch 3b

and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in

his watch, and every one [to be] over against his house.

Luke 12:47 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise

steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household,

to give [them their] portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed

[is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so

doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler

over all that he hath. 45 But and if that servant say in his heart,

My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the

menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be

drunken; 46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when

he looketh not for [him], and at an hour when he is not aware,

and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion

with the unbelievers.3 47 And that servant, which knew his

lord's will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according

to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes]. 48 But he that

knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be

beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given

of him shall be much required: and to whom men have

committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves:

for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account,

that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is]

unprofitable for you.

3. All Are Worthy of Watchfulness vs 4

No matter how big or small

Jesus loves the little children, All the children of the world

Black and yellow, red and white, They're all precious in His sight

Jesus loves the little children of the world

Whether you're rich or whether you're poor, It matters not to Him

He remembers where you're going, Not where you've been

Jesus loves the little children, All the children of the world

Black and yellow, red and white, They're all precious in His sight

Jesus loves the little children of the world

Prov 20:11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be

pure, and whether [it be] right.

Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Job 34:19 [How much less to him] that accepteth not the persons of

princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all

[are] the work of his hands.

Matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have

commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the

end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach

the gospel to every creature.

God created the mule and told him: "You will be mule, working constantly from dusk to dawn, carrying heavy loads on your back. You will eat grass and you will lack intelligence. You will live for 50 years." The mule answered: "To live like this for 50 years is too much. Please, give me no more than 20."

And it was so.

Then God created the dog and told him: "You will hold vigilance over the dwellings of Man, to whom you will be his greatest companion. You will eat his table scraps and live for 25 years." And the dog responded: "Lord, to live 25 years as a dog is too much. Please, no more than 10 years."

And it was so.

God then created the monkey and told him: "You are the monkey. You will swing from tree to tree, acting like an idiot. You will be funny, and you shall live for 20 years." And the monkey responded: Lord, to live 20 years as the clown of the world is too much. Please, Lord, give me no more than 10 years."
