Just Who Does This Church Belong To

JUST WHO DOES THIS CHURCH BELONG TO

DO PEOPLE KNOW WHO THE HOUSE OF GOD BELONGES TO

Over the last 40 odd years I have been told all kind of things about the church. Well preacher my great grandfather help establish this church his family has been here for over 100 years .This is good but that family does not own the church.

1. The deacon board doesn’t own the church

Some deacons think they do

Things go their way are else

Over the years many preachers have been destroyed because of this

Power Hungary will destroy a church quick

2. Money does not run the church

It has to have money to keep the doors open

Just because a man gives a large sum to the church he does not run the church

Money given to Gods church is for its upkeep and to take care of the pastor

When we hold our tithes God will not bless us

Many people still for God for gain

3. The building is not the church

The building is for us to worship in

The building is a give from God

The building is a light house for people to see God lives

The building cannot love but God does

The building cannot speak but we can

The building does not have to be bigger and better than our sister churches

4. The church is a living Jesus Christ

Matthew 16: 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Peter knew who the true church was

Jesus blessed him for that

Peter FLESH AND BLOOD did not reveal this but my Father in Heaven did

I tell you thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH.

Who built the church not grandpaw, not the deacons and not money?

People we need to go back to the Bible today

Hebrews 13: 8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He did not change for us

He did not change his church

He did not change his feelings

5. What we need to do is get the world out of the church

Eph.5: 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Eph .5: 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

We are under subjection to Christ

He is the church we need to love it with all our heart and soul

He died for the church not MAN

We need to let him wash us in the water of the word.

I remember in my younger days a man preached hell so strong in the church the deacons took him aside and told him never to preach like that again in that church if so he would not be pastor any longer ,he settle that for them at that moment handed them the keys and resigned .Praise God

I remember preaching in friend’s church on hell a woman came up to me after the service and told me that I had scared her that morning.

1stCo.15: 11Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Luke 9: 60Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

If they want to die let them preach the word.

6. Christ love the Church

Eph 5: 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

He died for it

28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

All in the church should feed the church

Feeding the church is not running it

Feed the sheep
