Summary: John was a man who had witness these things with his own eyes

John Saw

1 John 1:1-10

John had been there, when Jesus was talking to the Samaritan woman.

He was there, when a invalid for 38 years was healed.

When he feds the five thousand and twelve baskets are filled.

He was there, when Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery.

When Jesus heals a blind man.

When Jesus brings Lazarus back from the dead.

He was with Him and heard the sermon on the mount.

He seen Jesus heal the demon-possessed man.

He seen the Lord walk on water.

He seen Him calm the sea.

He was with Jesus, when He talked with Moses and Elijah.

He was was with Jesus in the upper room.

He was close enough to hear the words of Jesus upon the cross.

He was the second man to see the empty tomb.

He was there, when Jesus appeared to them in the upper room.

He was there, when Jesus ascended to heaven.

Verse 9-If we confess our sins, no matter how many times we sin, no matter if we are dealing with the same sis or sins, we were when we first got saved.

No matter if its a big sin or a little sin (that’s by our judgement).

Even when people have given up on us, the preacher, the church, our family, friends, spouse.

The ones who are suppose to help us grow, have given up on us to change.

But God is faithful and He hasn’t give up on you! Even when others do, He does not! (So remind Satan of that!)

Christian are not perfect, just perfectly forgiven!

In 1977, Our school ( Newcastle High) had let out early so that we could attend a track meet

in Olney Texas. The girls were running hurdles, the race had just begun, and at the first hurdle, one girl fell down, she quickly jump up and began to run again the second ond she cleared and the third one, but when she came to the last she fell again, by then the other girls had finished the race. She got set the hurdle back up and tried again to clear it, but once again she fell, people in the crowd began to laugh and make fun. She got up set the hurdle back up and this time with all her might, she cleared it and ran all the way to the finish line. By then the crowd stood to their feet and began to clap for accomplishment. Because no longer was she doing it to win the race, or for the crowd, or even for her team, this was for her self!

Don’t confess your sins because of what I say.

Don’t come to the altar because someone told you that’s what you are suppose to do.

Do it to get that relationship between you and God right, to find real forgiveness!
