JOHN HAS PURPOSE FOR GOSPEL

John 20: 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The miracles reported that had done.

He prove Jesus was the messiah the God man.

(1) He was fully God and fully man.

1 Corinthians 12:3

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

(2) To show him as Savior and life giver.

1 John 5:11

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

(3) To cause men to believe in him.

Philippians 1: 29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

(4) That we might receive life eternal.

John 3: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

James 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
