Summary: BELIEVERS WILL SEE CHRIST FACE TO FACE.

JOB

OBSERVATION:

JOB WAS A WEALTHY, RIGHTEOUS MAN WHO LOST EVERYTHING YET CONTINUED TO TRUST IN GOD. BIBLE SCHOLARS DISAGREE ON WHO WROTE THE BOOK. SOME THINK THE WRITINGS OCCURRED BETWEEN 2,000 B.C -1,000 B.C.

INTERPRETATION:

JOB 19:25 (NKJV) FOR I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES, AND HE SHALL STAND AT LAST ON THE EARTH.

POINTS TO PONDER:

TO KNOW IS A POWERFUL EXPRESSION OF JOB’S BELIEF. THIS PROPHETIC UTTERANCE WAS MORE THAN MERE SPECULATION. HE EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN A LIVING REDEEMER. EVERY BELIEVER MUST EMBRACE THE SAME MINDSET AS JOB EXPRESSED. CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS:

JOB KNEW HIS REDEEMER, JESUS CHRIST LIVES. HE SPOKE CONFIDENTLY OF THIS REALITY, SOLID AND SURE.

BIBLICAL FAITH SEES AND KNOWS WHAT ABIDES FOREVER. THE GLORY OF CHRIST IN HIS DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION GIVES HOPE FOR TOMORROW. YOUR REDEEMER LIVES AND YOU WILL ONE DAY SEE HIM FACE TO FACE. 1 CORINTHIANS 13: 12 (NASB) FOR NOW WE SEE IN A MIRROR DIMLY, BUT THEN FACE TO FACE; NOW I KNOW IN PART, BUT THEN I WILL KNOW FULLY JUST AS I ALSO HAVE BEEN FULLY KNOWN.

APPLICATION:

WHAT JOY TO SEE YOUR SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, FACE TO FACE!
