Summary: This verse was written on the wall in my room. I did not know where it was in the Bible and after reading it , the Holy Spirit spoke and said to me open John 14:6, and told me to take it to Nations that He was the way, the truth and the life.

John 14: 1 - 6

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

I never knew this until it was written on the wall in my bedroom one night. After I read it I was told to open John 14:6, I opened my Bible and I read out that Jesus told His disciples that He was the way, the truth and the life. And told me to take it to Nations.

Jesus is the only way, the only truth and the only one that gives life.

We are looking at it in three parts.

Jesus - The way

Jesus came as the only one that came to show us the way back to the father. He had to be the One to show us the right way to go. He is called Immanuel which means "God with us". It was only through the death and resurrection of Christ that the wall of sin blocking man from God was taking away.

Therefore, it is only through faith in Him that we can be forgiven of our sins and find God in Him. We were separated from God for awhile because of Adam. But because of the love and mercy of God He had to find another way to bring us back to Him.

And this is why Jesus is the only way.

God could not bear the separation that Adam had caused and sent His Only Begotten Son to be our redemption. So, Jesus came to be our redeemer.

Ephesians 2:18

For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Hebrews 10: 19-20

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Matthew 27:51

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split.

Jesus came to set us all free from the hands of the enemy who is Satan. The day Jesus appeared to me I saw Satan in deep darkness. And this is why I know that Jesus is real and Satan is real. But thank God that Jesus as revealed Himself as the only way to the father. Without Jesus we would have been lost forever. We are cared for by God and through His Son He made Him to be the way back to His kingdom.

Jesus is the only One that could open the scroll in Luke 4:17-21

And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,

Because He has anointed Me

To preach the gospel to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives

And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Jesus is the way.

John 10:1-9 records this

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them. Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."
