INTRODUCTION:
Salvation is at the heart of Jesus’ mission on earth. The Bible makes it clear that humanity was lost in sin, but God, in His love, sent Jesus Christ to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). Without Jesus, mankind is doomed to eternal separation from God, but through Him, salvation is available to all who believe.
The world offers many philosophies and religious ideologies, but salvation is found in no other name except Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). He is the only way to eternal life. Those who reject Him reject the greatest gift of all—salvation by grace through faith.
Salvation is not earned by works; it is a free gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus’ death and resurrection secured our redemption. Today, whoever calls upon His name shall be saved (Romans 10:13). No matter how deep you are in sin, Jesus is mighty to save!
1. JESUS SAVES FROM SIN
Sin is mankind’s greatest problem, and without salvation, all are doomed for destruction. But Jesus came to set us free from the power and consequences of sin.
a) He forgives our sins (1 John 1:9)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.
b) He cleanses us from all unrighteousness (Isaiah 1:18)
No matter how deep our sins are, His blood washes us white as snow.
c) He breaks the power of sin (Romans 6:14)
Through Jesus, sin shall no longer have dominion over us.
d) He restores our relationship with God (2 Corinthians 5:18)
Jesus reconciles us to the Father, giving us peace with God.
e) Biblical Example: The Thief on the Cross (Luke 23:39-43)
A dying criminal received salvation by calling on Jesus in faith.
2. JESUS SAVES FROM ETERNAL DAMNATION
Hell is real, and without Christ, people are on the path to eternal separation from God. But Jesus came to give us eternal life.
a) He came to rescue us from condemnation (John 3:17)
Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it.
b) He offers the gift of eternal life (John 10:28)
Those who believe in Him shall never perish.
c) He takes away the sting of death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57)
Through Christ, we have victory over death.
d) He gives us the assurance of heaven (John 14:1-3)
Jesus has prepared a place for us in His Father’s house.
e) Biblical Example: Lazarus and the Rich Man (Luke 16:19-31)
Lazarus was saved and found rest, but the rich man perished in torment.
3. JESUS SAVES FROM THE POWER OF SATAN
Many people are under the control of the devil through sin, addiction, and demonic oppression, but Jesus saves and sets captives free.
a) He has defeated Satan (Colossians 2:15)
Jesus disarmed principalities and made a public show of them.
b) He delivers from demonic possession (Mark 16:17)
In His name, demons are cast out.
c) He gives power to overcome the enemy (Luke 10:19)
Jesus gives His followers authority over all the power of the devil.
d) He destroys the works of the devil (1 John 3:8)
The purpose of Jesus’ coming was to destroy satanic strongholds.
e) Biblical Example: The Gadarene Demoniac (Mark 5:1-15)
Jesus saved a man possessed by a legion of demons and restored him.
4. JESUS SAVES FROM LIFE’S TROUBLES
Life is full of struggles—poverty, sickness, heartbreak, and fear. But Jesus saves from all forms of distress and gives peace.

In every trouble, He is near to save.

5. JESUS SAVES THROUGH FAITH IN HIM
Salvation is available to all, but it must be received by faith. Those who put their trust in Jesus are saved and made new.
a) Salvation is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9)
It is not by works but by believing in Jesus.
b) Confession of Christ brings salvation (Romans 10:9-10)
