I. EXORDIUM:

Who is your city?

The LORD JESUS CHRIST. John 15:4-7

John 15:4-7

Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.

I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.

If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I swore to give to their fathers; nor shall any who provoked (spurned, despised) Me see it.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

This is another SM (Secret Message) from the LORD.

A. JESUS is our mere encampment (cities) guarding us

"And of the cities which you give"

The city of our GOD is the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Psalms 87:3

Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah [pause, and calmly realize what that means]!

Psalms 101:8

Morning after morning I will root up all the wicked in the land, that I may eliminate all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

Psalms 48:8

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the One that encamps around us, as city encamps the people, so is the LORD JESUS CHRIST encamps around His people - the Church. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is our Protection.

Illustration: Majority of the attacks of thieves, robbers and extortionists are those people living outside the city, rather than those living in the city. Because in the city, there's a high level of protection because it was civilized and turned into a city.

Live inside the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

John 15:4-7

Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
