Summary: Jesus was full of love, He was the defination of what love is, reflecting the glory of His Father.

evidence of life is love  (1 John 3)

** the practice of love is..... (V.17-18)

___two things

1) Sacrificial

___the love of Jesus was sacrificial. He laid His life for us. We had a debt we could not pay and He paid a debt He did not owe (Psalm 69:4). Even as Jesus laid down His life for us we are to do the same for others.

___(Matthew 5:46)___"for if you love those who love you, what reward will you habe? Don't even the tax collectors do the same?"

2) Tangible

___if we claim we have the love of Christ but that love never expresses itself tangibly we invite the criticism that we are hypocrites....we talk the talk  but don't walk the walk.

___(James 2:15)

**confidence in the new life..... (V.19-22)

___the word 'confidence' it can be translated as courage, assurance, boldness, or fearlessness

___our salvation is not based on how we feel but upon our faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself up for us.

___have confidence not based on how you feel but based upon who your faith is in

** confidence that He hears us

___(John 14:13)

**commandments for the new life ..... (V.23)

___to believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and to love one another

** obey____live out the love of Christ

___if you really know Him, if you've really trusted Him, then live like Him.
