Jesus is more than enough!

INTRO: Even if we didn’t get one gift at Christmas, God has given us more than we deserve!

WELL OR HORN OF SALVATION

ELSHAIDAII

Luke 1:66-79(KJV)

66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69 And hath raised up an HORN OF SALVATION for us in the house of his servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

I. HIS SALVATION IS MORE THAN ENOUGH - TITUS 3:3-7

Titus 3:3-7

3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

(KJV)

A. WE WERE RULELESS AND WE DIDN’T DESERVE IT!

B. HE KEPT AFTER US . . .

Reuben Donnelly Company of Chicago is the nations largest printer of magazines. They have a huge machine that sends out notices . . .

One day, a tiny spring broke and a rancher in Powder Bluff, Colorado, received 9,734 notices that his subscription to the National Geographic had expired. He rode the 10 miles to the Poffice, sent his money, and wrote, “send me the magazine, I give up!”

That’s how God brought many of us to salvation. He hit us with the message so many times that we had to give up.

C. HE PAID FOR IT WITH HIS OWN LIFE

II. HIS LOVE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH - ROM. 5:5

A wealthy old man was married to a young bride. He loved her a great deal, but was bothered by the recurring though that she just married him for his money. So . . . he asked her one day, “If I lost all of my money, would you still love me?” She replied, “Of Course I would still love you. Don’t be silly. But I would miss you!”

Rom 5:5(KJV)

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

blessed me,

A cluster of small boys were hanging outside of a football stadium, because they didn’t have enough money to get into the game. An older respectable gentlemen came over to the ticket taker and said with authority, “Let these boys into the game and tell me how many there are. The ticket taker of course let all of the boys come through the line and at the last boy said to the man 34. To which the man replied, “right you are, 34 and went back to his seat.
