VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. JESUS, BE EXALTED IN MY HEART. -- Be still and know that I am GOD

"Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God."

Let the Presence of JESUS consume you all over, from head to toe, and not the activities and traffic of everyday lives, don't be consume by the daily concerns and cares of this world, but be consume of the loving Presence of JESUS.

There is a proper order of knowing GOD, you don't just jump up right at knowing JESUS but first be still. Be still came from Hebrew word "raphah" is the same word used in the title of JESUS as "JESUS, the Healer", meaning to cease, to consume, to draw. Draw near to GOD and His very Presence will heal you. Focus your attention on JESUS.

Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)

12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Habakkuk 2:20 (Amplified Bible)

2:20 But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth hush and keep silence before Him.

Zephaniah 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

1:7 [Hush!] Be silent before the Lord God, for the day [of the vengeance] of the Lord is near; for the Lord has prepared a sacrifice, and He has set apart [for His use] those who have accepted His invitation.

Zechariah 2:13 (Amplified Bible)

2:13 Be still, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused and risen from His holy habitation.

No one will know this is what you're doing, but it's a personal thing between you and GOD, and we differ from expressing our being stillness with GOD. But you know in your heart that you are still in GOD's Presence. Being still is different from a panic. Your body might not be moving, and you're still not be still in Him, but you are moving and yet you are still. The mind has the major role in being still with GOD, it has to do with our focus. Are you focus in your problem? or Are you focus on JESUS?

—Great Thoughts

Still is defined as "To stop, as motion or agitation; to check or restrain; to make quiet; as, to still the raging sea." - Webster's 1828 Dictionary

I easily get distracted that's why I always sit in front even if I'm not the preacher because if I stay at the back, I look at people and things and get distracted and my focus was to them not on JESUS's Presence in the church. What I'm saying is, we can't easily solve our problems in life, but we don't focus or think on the problem if we want to really know GOD, with our mindset, we get away from all the problems and "EMPTY" ourselves with GOD's Presence. For rich and poor people alike, we tend to focus on money, if we are rich, we focus on what to buy next, the most expensive gadget that we can have, and if we are poor, we tend to focus on how to become rich, both the same. But rich and poor alike must focus on JESUS, not on getting rich, not on buying lots of stuff, but on JESUS. Remember, the Blessor is JESUS, also don't forget the Blessing because it's JESUS as well.
