JESUS GLORIFIED-III—John 12:29-31(:20-36)
Attention:
Hershey, our ‘chocolate lab-mixed breed’ dog, has a keen nose for anything unusual that might appear around the house.
I’m always amazed at where his nose leads him, & wonder what exactly he smells.
He will sometimes wander around on his own, but he seems to prefer my going out with him, especially late at night.
We’ll amble around the property perimeter together & he’ll investigate various things, he’ll get bored, & then we’ll come back inside.
But the other night, we were wandering around checking the status of the flower beds my wife has lovingly & diligently planted. Hershey was just ahead of me as I stepped off of the back-edge of the driveway. Right when I did that, Hersheys tail curled around tight enough for the tip to touch his back! His hair stood up on end right behind his neck, & along his back just in front of his tail! He was in full attack mode!
He began literally galloping across the property from one-side-to-the-other, along a line that I couldn’t see(or smell). He had his nose to the ground & in occasionally in the air. I could hear him ‘snuffin’ & ‘huffin’, all while running full speed back-&-forth along the scent trail! He must’ve followed that trail for 20 minutes back-&-forth & all around, until he was so worn out that his tongue was hanging out of his mouth sideways. I never did find out who or what walked across our yard.
Hershey has an amazing ability to pick up & follow a scent trail that is utterly impossible for a person to do! •Hershey’s ‘GLORY’ is his nose.
*Jesus & only Jesus, thru His death, received the penalty of His Father’s judgment upon Himself, so that the sin of anyone who believes can receive forgiveness! And, so that anyone who chooses, to trust Jesus as their Savior & Lord, can have, not only eternal life, but also a full & meaningful life while on earth.
*Jesus’ ‘GLORY’ is His uniquely perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind!...Freeing believers from hell!
Excerpted from The New Oxford American English Dictionary:

GOD’s JUDGMENT(:29-31)
Explanation:(:29-31)Official determination
:29—“Therefore the people who stood by & heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.””
:30—“Jesus answered & said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake.”
:31—“Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.”
:29—“Therefore the people who stood by & heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.””
The crowd of “people” “who” were standing near by, only “heard” a noise, rather than a voice or intelligible words. They only “heard” the indistinct sound of “thunder.”
•Rev. 4:2-5—“Immediately I[John] was in the Spirit; & behold, a throne set in heaven, & One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper & a sardius stone in appearance; & there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, & on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; & they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, & voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”
Rev. 6:1—“Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; & I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come & see.””
Rev. 10:1-4—“I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, & his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea & his left foot on the land,& cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, & do not write them.”
