Jehovah, I AM

Exodus 6:1 – 3; 3:13- 15

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Ex 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Jehovah:

The true and proper name of God. This is also a name of being independent, I AM WHO I AM only belongs to Jehovah God.

As we consider His greatness we should fall upon our face in awe of this One who possess all authority

The Bible does not seek to prove the existence of God; it just simply states IN THE BEGINNING GOD.

But all through the Bible the revelation of Jehovah is seen.

Jehovah: Yahweh is a verb meaning to be, God is stating I will be who I will be.

God is the author of life and salvation.

The words, “I AM” expresses that God is the person and the being behind everything, and without Him there is nothing made.

I AM THAT I AM, expresses the truth that nothing or no one defines who God is but God Himself.

Ex 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Exodus chapter 5 Moses inquires for Israel to be let go and Pharaoh answer is NO.

In verse 2 he asks “who is the Lord?”

Make the task harder, gather your own straw, if you don’t make the same amount of bricks you will be beaten.

V23 Moses said for since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

Johnny’s commentary; Where are you God? Why have you aloud this to happen your people being beaten? Why did you send me, if you are not going to deliver?

Ever since I came Pharaoh has done evil to the people and you have not delivered.

When you and I are convinced that we alone can do nothing and put our dependence upon a Holy God and our expectations upon God instead of man we shall see God’s hand revealed.

It seems that God usually brings us to the place I SURRENDER ALL.

I tried my way and failed.

Moses had been trying what he could do and accomplished strife and bitterness.

Then God answer’s with I will show myself as JEHOVAH, I AM THAT I AM.

I AM THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE AND THE SOURCE OF THAT LIFE

I AM THE FOUNTAIN OF BLESSINGS AND THE SOURCE OF BLESSINGS

I AM GOD AND BESIDES ME THERE IS NONE OTHER

Sit the other false God’s around me and they will fall and crumple.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew His name but now God will reveal a name and what it signifies.

Ex 6:1 ¶ Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

Sunday night the song the name of Jesus, there is something special about that name.

What is it in that Name that makes demons flee

What is it in that Name that makes the devils tremble

What is it in that Name that makes mountains come down

What is it in that Name a Holy Ghost filled believer feels like charging hell with a water pistol

I can tell you there is power in that Name, for that Name signifies, I AM THAT I AM

Jehovah: I will now perform what I promised.

A God that perfects what he has begun and finishes it.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:

Without Christ we are dead in our trespasses and sin. The best we can do is dirty in the eyes of God, we need this Life that only Jesus can give.

We can not sustain this life in our own efforts, we must continue to feed off the Bread of Life, the I AM.

You might know God in name today, but do you know Him in the Power of the One who gives Life?

Church God wants you and me to know He is Jehovah,

He has not left you for He said I will never leave you,

He said I will restore, he will restore for He is Jehovah God

Have you experienced this Life Giving Bread.

What do you have need of today, Jehovah God is here, I AM
