Summary: Love is all we need

ITS TIME WE GROW UP

13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1. We must have two things to make it.

13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

We can talk a big game

We can out the part

If we don’t have love

Its just noise

2. Things I do want count .

13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

You may be able to prophecies

You may understand mysteries

You may have a wealth of knowledge

You may have strong faith

Without love you have nothing

3. You may have a heart of gold

13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

You may give all to the poor

You may give you body

No love

You gain nothing

4. Charity suffers long and hard

13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

You must be kind

You must not envy

Love don’t brag

Love is not puffed up

Love is give for us to stand on

5. We must have hope

3:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Don’t seek for your self

Think no evil

Not easy to make mad

Rejoice not in evil

Rejoice in the truth

Learn to endure and go on

6. Love will never fail

13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Many things fail but love will never fail

Prophecies fail

Tongues will cease

Knowledge will vanish

7. Be strong in the Lord

13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Have faith

Have hope

Show love

Remember love is the greatest
