It’s Not For You

Summary: Even though you are extremely blessed and experienced in your field of work, that does not mean you can perform God's work without His calling.
And they withstood King Uzziah, and said to him, “It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed! You shall have no honor from the LORD God.” 2 Chronicles 26:18
The priests said “It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD”. Uzziah was a successful king who was greatly blessed by God. Even though he was very successful in his field, that does not mean he can enter God's sanctuary and burn incense without having God's calling to do it. Even though you are extremely blessed and experienced in your field of work, that does not mean you can perform God's work without His calling.
This generation does not have any prophets and people who warn that “it’s not for you to perform God’s work without God’s calling”. Everyone tells it’s you, without you actually being called by God for that God’s work. Everyone can do evangelism, but there are some specific tasks that only God's chosen vessels can do. Nathan told David “it’s not for you to build God’s temple”, despite the fact that David was a man after God’s own heart. There are some people who are specifically called by God to do a specific work. In the Old Testament, God is very particular and exceedingly strict about matters regarding His temple and who ministers in it. When God is so particular about His temple, He is even more particular about who ministers in it and where each priest is required to minister.
Nowadays there is no person or priest who tells you–
It’s not for you to build a church without being called by God. Nobody tells you that you cannot build a church unless God calls you to do so.
It is not for you to do a particular work of God if you are not called by God.
It’s not for you to become a preacher, evangelist or prophet when you are not called by God. You cannot become a preacher, evangelist, or prophet unless God calls you to do so.
There are no prophets or priests who take time to correct or rebuke us when we are not doing things as per of our calling.
When God's chosen vessels fail to do God's work according to their calling, there is no holy attire maintained in the church. *When we do God’s work without God’s calling, we hinder God’s work rather than advance His work. We may even become spiritually handicapped when we do God’s work without being called by God to do so. Even if others are blessed by this work, you yourself won’t have the satisfaction and you might lose your honour.
It is better to find out your calling before doing any work for God. Nowadays, God's name is being dishonoured in many places because there are so many uncalled people doing God's work. Just because you were successful and experienced in your field, it does not mean you can do God’s work without being called by God for that work. If God has called you for a particular job like software or government job, continue in that employment if you are successful; do not enter God's work unless God has called you. When you do something that is based on your calling, whether it is a job or a ministry, you experience lot of joy and peace. It’s not for you to do God’s work until you've been specifically called for it.
