Emphasize the power of faith in God's promises, even when they are not immediately visible.

Introduction

Good morning, friends! Today, we’re diving into the words of Daniel 10:12, a verse that vibrantly illustrates God's faithfulness to speak before we see it manifest, the power of faith to believe before we see it, and the assurance of God's work already done. This verse reminds us that God's promises are always fulfilled, even if we don't see them immediately, and encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith.

Charles Spurgeon once said, "Faith goes up the stairs that love has built and looks out the window which hope has opened." This quote beautifully illustrates the power of faith in our walk with God. It’s the faith that allows us to trust in God's promises, even when we can't see them being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Let's read the verse together,

"Then he continued, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.'" (NIV).

Join me in prayer,

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your wonderful promises. We thank You for the faith You've given us to believe in what we do not see. As we delve into Your word today, may our hearts be open to receive Your truth, and may our faith in Your promises be strengthened. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's explore this together, shall we?

God's Faithfulness to Speak Before We See It

God's faithfulness to speak before we see it manifest is a testament to the fact that God, in His infinite wisdom and love, speaks and makes promises even before we see them come to fruition in our lives. This is a powerful testament to His faithfulness, a faithfulness that is not dependent on our ability to see or understand His plans, but rather on His unchanging nature.

The book of Daniel: We see a clear example of this. Daniel, a man of great faith, had been praying and seeking understanding from God. Even before he saw any tangible response, God had already heard his prayers and set things in motion. This is a powerful reminder that God hears our prayers the moment they leave our lips, and He begins to work even when we can't see it.

Extends to God's promises: God, in His faithfulness, speaks promises over our lives. These promises may not manifest immediately, but that does not mean they won't. God's word does not return to Him void; it accomplishes what He pleases and prospers in the thing for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11). Therefore, when God speaks a promise, we can have full assurance that it will come to pass, even if we don't see it immediately.

Speaks to the nature of faith: Faith, as Hebrews 11:1 puts it, is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. It's believing in God's promises even when we can't see them. It's trusting in God's faithfulness to speak before we see it manifest. This kind of faith is what allows us to walk confidently in the promises of God, knowing that He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

The importance of patience in our walk with God: Often, we may be tempted to doubt or lose faith when we don't see immediate results. However, God's faithfulness to speak before we see it manifest reminds us to be patient and trust in His timing. God's timing is perfect, and He knows exactly when to bring His promises to pass in our lives.

Encourages us to be persistent in our prayers and in seeking God: Just like Daniel, we should continue to pray and seek God, even when we don't see immediate results. God hears our prayers, and He is faithful to respond in His perfect timing.
